New way to access Sand Bay Beach

The trail systems behind Rowleys Bay Resort used to provide convenient access to Sand Bay Park and beach, but with the recent sale of an adjoining property, we are no longer able to use the path that led from our trails to the beach. Access to the beach is still possible! It's just a short drive around the block. Click here for the convenient Google Map that takes you right from our front door to this great park and waterfront location.

Hiking the Schoenbrunn Trail

The Schoenbrunn Trail is a little known access point to the Mink River Estuary. Accessed from County NP just a few miles from Rowleys Bay Resort, the trail is a short and easy walk to this delicate ecosystem. Many will only see the Mink River from the water side, since there are no roads that allow you to see it directly. This allows you to take a peek through the trees. The trailhead is just around the estuary from Rowleys Bay Resort: Learn more about the trail, managed by the Nature Conservancy, and make a plan to visit!.
