On Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, Rowleys Bay Resort and its attached businesses were affected by a devastating fire.
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the tremendous response to this incident. We are overwhelmed by the support that came from next door neighbors, the west side of Green Bay, and everywhere between. The organization and professionalism of all the emergency response departments was and is remarkable.
Thank you to everyone who helped us find lodging for staff and guests and to the hotels who are hosting them. Thank you to everyone who brought water and food. Thank you to the Red Cross, to Wagon Trail Campground, and to individuals who ran supplies, made phone calls, and did a thousand other things. Thank you to the dozens of additional people who helped who we never saw, and who made these other things happen.
Offers of support have come in through every possible media source. Once we know more about what additional resources will be most helpful to those displaced by the fire, we’ll post a list.
Due to the extent of the damage, Rowleys Bay Resort, Grandma’s Swedish Bakery, Rowley’s Pub, and Rowleys Bay Restaurant are closed and unable to accept guests for the foreseeable future. We are currently collecting the resources we need to reestablish an office space so we can communicate with guests regarding their upcoming reservations. As all of our administrative offices and equipment were lost in the fire, we expect this to take a few days. As soon as we can get records from our reservation system on Wednesday, we’ll be contacting guests in order of their arrival date.
For those of you who are planning on visiting us, we’re devastated we won’t be able to host your stay. We thank you for your patience while we get organized! As soon as we have a more clear time-frame and a process for communicating with guests we will post that on our website.
Thank you again to everyone who has offered support, and for your continued support and patience as we work through the next few days and figure out what comes next.
