Marina and Shoreline Access

If you have a passion for water sports, you have to come to Rowleys Bay Resort. From canoeing and kayaking to sailing and windsurfing, you won’t find a better place in Door County for aqua adventures on Lake Michigan. We also offer the most direct access to the Mink River, one of the few unspoiled estuaries in the Great Lakes. The river flows through coniferous swamps, a large marsh and empties into Lake Michigan at Rowleys Bay.

Rowleys Bay Resort is steps away from 700-feet of wild Lake Michigan shoreline. Part of that includes access to graduated shoreline for canoe and kayak launching, the public marina, even an old fishing dock that used to host the Washington Island people ferry. Bring your own canoe, boat, SUP, or windsurfer, and launch from our public marina and graduated shoreline. Better yet, rent one from Door County Adventure Center! Explore the gentle marsh area of Rowleys Bay and protected wilderness of the Mink River Estuary. Rowleys Bay is the perfect spot for aqua adventures of all types – even fishing straight off the docks!
